Bringing people together with a shared passion for natural hair was the driving force behind the 2017 CURLYTREATS Festival, held at the ILEC Conference Centre. The majority of attendees were Black and Mixed-race women who had the opportunity to participate in a range of empowering sessions designed to encourage self-love for their natural hair and improving wellness. These sessions covered topics such as the importance of embracing all curl textures, tapping into one's inner Black girl magic, and even learning how to make DIY natural hair products.
