Dear friends of CURLYTREATS
On Monday, 17 May, lockdown measures eased in England as we entered into stage three of the post-lockdown roadmap. What does this mean for outdoor events? Outdoor venues can now allow over 4,000 attendees in a single day, but no more than 4,000 attendees at one time, based on the size of the venue.
For events subject to capacity caps, it should be noted that the caps refer to the event attendees only. Staff, contractors, exhibitors and volunteers are covered by the work exemption so are not counted as part of the capacity cap.
Fortunately, Crystal Palace Park has enough space for CURLYTREATS Natural Hair Festival to take on 19-20 June 2021 – and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone. CURLYTREATS and Radiate Festival will be taking place in a 200,000+ sqm space.
With that mentioned, we will follow the relevant COVID-secure guidance, taking reasonable steps to limit the risk of transmission, adhering to all legal requirements, including ensuring that those attending an event do not mix beyond what is permitted by the social contact limit.
Step 3 Plans for the CURLYTREATS Festival include:
- Traffic Light Wristband System
- Sanitisation Stations
- Guest Registrations
- 1m Queuing System
- Restroom Attendant
- Self & Social Responsibility
- Spot Temperature Checks
