CURLYTREATS Festival Presents

Black Hair Zine Making Workshop

📅 Date: Saturday 15 October 2022
⏰ Time: 12 noon (90 Minutes)
📍Location: Novotel London West

Join us at CURLYTREATS Festival as we host a Zine making workshop with Fiona Quadri, Illustrative Image Maker.

Create your own DIY magazine that celebrates Black hair, history, and heritage. You will use collage, drawing, and writing techniques to create your own zine. As part of this creative workshop, you will have the opportunity to have an in-depth discussion both about the highs and lows of black hair and the possibilities of dealing with issues such as hair discrimination, which will be of great value to you. This workshop aims to foster self-love through an intergenerational discussion of hair, history, and heritage, in order to increase self-esteem.

No prior experience is necessary for this workshop, and all materials and equipment are provided. You will have access to all festival activities by booking an admission ticket.
